X-Neuro
An animation project focusing on the often unheard struggles of young girls with ADHD. Currently an ongoing project.
Though mental health awareness has grown in our society, many individuals still suffer from the stigmatization of neurodivergence. This in turn, has resulted in many neurodivergent children living their lives without ever getting a formal diagnosis and given access to accommodations. ADHD is not always presented through the most obvious of signs and symptoms, especially the case for many of those assigned female at birth, hence why they often go undiagnosed, left to understand their needs without access to necessary accommodations. X-Neuro is an animation project following a young girl with ADHD, Layla, as she navigates the world with her disorder, undiagnosed and struggling for answers. It is currently in progress.
