Swim Lane Line Rebrand
An exploration of the nature of swim lane lines. Can we design a rendition that resolves their current flaws?
I joined a re-design competition being held at a local community center with a partner. The competition was meant to introduce students to the world of problem-solving through design. Hence, the goal of the competition was taking a product that currently suffers several issues in its function due to its form, and improve it. My partner and I decided to analyze swim lane lines and based our project on finding ways to combat their "pain points," such as their characteristics of being difficult to set up/reel back in and the injuries they oftentimes gave swimmers.
